La Casa di Melo Alvim è una dimora urbana fondata nel 1509.
Nel 1540 fu sposato con Melo Alvim del couto di Ervededo. Fu ristrutturato alla fine del XVI secolo nello stile del lastricato e alla fine del XVII secolo nello stile barocco . Della campagna manuelina restano i bordi di quasi tutte le aperture e le merlature di ispirazione orientale. Ciò che rimane del piano terra sono i colonnati toscani dell'atrio dove spicca un cipiglio apotropaico . La scala che conduce al piano terra è stata conservata dal programma barocco.
Nella trasformazione della locanda in albergo sono stati conservati tutti i resti archeologici (comprese due porte manueline al piano terra) e sono stati scelti mobili del XVII e XVIII secolo, ai quali è stato aggiunto il progetto di mobili moderni per due camere.
