Das Denkmal des Heiligen Herzens Jesu befindet sich auf dem Gipfel des Hügels von Guadalupe .
Es enthält ein Bild des Heiligsten Herzens Jesu zur Erinnerung an die feierliche Weihe der Stadt und der Erzdiözese Braga an das Göttliche Herz Christi am 16. Mai 1886 zur Zeit von Monsignore António José de Freitas Honorato.
Es ist der höchste Punkt der Stadt Braga .
Im 19. Jahrhundert war der Ort als Cova da Moura oder Muntanya da Buraquinha bekannt.
Das Denkmal wurde auf Initiative von Monsignore Joaquim Fernandes Lopes errichtet und die Einweihung fand am 8. Dezember 1901, dem Fest der Unbefleckten Empfängnis, statt.
Es ist ein einfaches Gebäude mit ellipsenförmigem Grundriss , zwei Stockwerken und wenigen Fenstern mit unterbrochenen Bögen. Darüber wölbt sich ein Panoramadach , das über eine Außentreppe zugänglich ist.
