Nida ist eine Ortschaft in Litauen und Sitz der Gemeindeverwaltung der Gemeinde Neringa auf der Kurischen Nehrung an der Ostsee.
Der Ort befindet sich auf der Haffseite der Nehrung.
Nida war ursprünglich, wie die ganze Kurische Nehrung, vom baltischen Volk der Kuren besiedelt.
Erste urkundliche Erwähnung fand Nida 1385 in Dokumenten des Kreuzritterordens. Die ursprüngliche Lage des Ortes bis 1675 lag gut fünf Kilometer weiter südlich jenseits der Hohen Düne am Grabscher Haken . Die zweite Dorflage von Nidden – verursacht durch Versandung – befand sich von etwa 1675 bis in die 1730er Jahre direkt am Haffstrand, etwa auf der Höhe des Grabscher Haken. Der Name Nidden leitet sich ab von prußisch neid, nid, nida: fließen, auf- und abtauchen.
