Visingsö ist mit 25 km² die größte Insel im schwedischen See Vättern. Sie liegt in dessen südlichem Teil etwa 30 Kilometer nördlich von Jönköping und sechs Kilometer westlich von Gränna. Visingsö ist 14 km lang und an der breitesten Stelle 3,0 km breit.
Visingsö kann von Gränna aus mit der Fähre in etwa 25 Minuten erreicht werden. Drei Fährschiffe verkehren zwischen 5 Uhr morgens und etwa 1 Uhr nachts; tagsüber – vor allem in der Hauptsaison – besteht zwischen 10 und 17 Uhr ein annähernder 30-Minuten-Takt.
