Der schwedische Nationalpark Björnlandet liegt in der schwedischen Taiga in der Nähe des Ortes Fredrika in der Gemeinde Åsele. Er besteht aus nahezu unberührtem Urwald, in dem man noch Spuren großer Waldbrände findet. Das Gebiet ist geprägt von schroffen Bergstürzen und einer großen Anzahl von freiliegenden Felsblöcken. Teile des Parks werden als Weideland für Rentiere verwendet.
Das Hügelland im südlichen Lappland wird von endlos erscheinenden Wäldern bedeckt, doch fallen diese immer häufiger der modernen Forstwirtschaft zum Opfer. So ist das Ziel des 1.130 Hektar großen und 1991 eingerichteten Nationalpark der Erhalt des größten zusammenhängenden, in seinem Urzustand befindlichen Nadelwalds im schwedischen Teil Lapplands.
