Die Gemeinde liegt im Vorland des Skandinavischen Gebirges und ist geprägt von einer hügeligen Landschaft. Das Gemeindegebiet ist geprägt von den Tälern der beiden Flüsse Ume älv und Vindelälven, die sich bei Vännäsby vereinigen.
