Der Sawai-Ofen lieferte Fragmente von glasiertem Ton, wobei braun häufiger war als grüne Glasur. Die Formen umfassten große und kleine Krüge, auf Sockeln stehende Schalen, mit Ausguss versehene Flaschen (Kendi) und gedeckte Kästen.
Der Sawai-Ofen ist wahrscheinlich zeitgenössisch mit den Öfen von Nai Chain und Khok Lin Fa. Zwei Radiokohlenstoffdaten von den letzten beiden Standorten liegen zwischen dem 9. und 12. Jahrhundert n. Chr., als die Khmer die Region von ihrer Hauptstadt Angkor aus dominierten.
