Kilis ist eine türkische Provinz im Südosten Kleinasiens und liegt an der Grenze zu Syrien. Ihre Hauptstadt ist das gleichnamige Kilis. Durch das Gesetz Nr. 550 ist sie seit 1995 eine eigenständige Provinz. Nachbarprovinzen sind Gaziantep im Norden und Hatay im Westen. Kilis gehört zum türkischen Teil des Kurd Dagh. Vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg war Kilis wirtschaftlich und kulturell mit den heute syrischen Städten Afrin und Aleppo verbunden.
Die Bevölkerung besteht hauptsächlich aus Türken und Kurden.
Zum Zensus 2011 betrug das Durchschnittsalter in der Provinz 24,9 Jahre , wobei die weibliche Bevölkerung durchschnittlich 1,6 Jahre älter als die männliche war .
