Der Flughafen Ankara-Esenboğa ist ein türkischer Großflughafen, der im Jahre 1955 eröffnet wurde. Der Flughafen befindet sich in der gleichnamigen Vorstadt Esenboğa. Das Stadtzentrum von Ankara ist 28 Kilometer entfernt und kann mit dem Flughafenbus, Privatwagen und Taxis erreicht werden. Die Fahrtzeit liegt bei etwa 30 bis 60 Minuten.
Der Flughafen wurde im ersten Jahrzehnt des 21. Jahrhunderts erheblich ausgebaut und erneuert. 2018 wurden am Flughafen Ankara-Esenboğa 16.732.651 Millionen Passagiere abgefertigt, wovon knapp 87 %, also 14.483.453, auf den in Ankara vergleichsweise starken Inlandsverkehr entfielen. Im Jahr 2019 kam es zu einem deutlichen Rückgang der inländischen Passagierzahlen, weshalb sich das jährliche Passagieraufkommen insgesamt um fast 20 % zum Vorjahr verringerte .
