Die türkische Provinz Konya ist die flächenmäßig größte Provinz der Türkei. Ihre Hauptstadt ist das gleichnamige Konya . Ihre Nachbarprovinzen sind im Norden Ankara, im Westen Isparta, Afyonkarahisar und Eskişehir, im Süden Mersin, Karaman und Antalya sowie im Osten Niğde und Aksaray.
Die Einwohnerzahl der Provinzhauptstadt beträgt 1.073.791. In der Provinz Konya lebten 2016 etwa 2.161.303 Menschen. Die Bevölkerungsdichte betrug somit etwa 56 Einwohner/km². 2011 lebten von der Provinzbevölkerung 1.527.937 Menschen in Städten und 510.618 auf dem Land. 1927 betrug die Einwohnerzahl 504.125. Bei der Volkszählung 1965 betrug der städtische Anteil der Bevölkerung 32 % und ist gegenwärtig auf 75 % gestiegen. Laut einer Untersuchung des Türk Dil Kurumu von 1996 sprechen die Einwohner einen Westanatolischen Dialekt des Türkischen, der mit dem südlichen Dialekt von Mersin in der gleichen Gruppe ist.
