Gölcük ist ein Landkreis in der türkischen Provinz Kocaeli. Der Landkreis hat auf einer Fläche von 207 km² eine Einwohnerzahl von 136.513 . Die Kreisstadt mit 130.141 Einwohnern heißt ebenfalls Gölcük. Der Landkreis Gölcük grenzt direkt an die Bucht von İzmit. Die türkische Marine besitzt einen Stützpunkt in Gölcük.
Golcük war das Zentrum des Erdbebens von Gölcük am 17. August 1999, bei dem es tausende Tote gegeben hat.
