Der Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale im US-Bundesstaat Kalifornien ist einer von sechs Friedhöfen des Amerikanischen Unternehmens "Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks & Mortuaries".Er ist der erste in einer Reihe von später entstandenen Forest Lawn Memorial Parks in den USA und Kanada.
Forest Lawn wurde 1906 als nicht-profitorientierter Friedhof von mehreren Geschäftsleuten aus San Francisco gegründet.
Hubert L. Eaton und C. B. Sims erwarben den Friedhof im Jahr 1912. Eaton übernahm 1917 die Geschäfte des Friedhofs und gilt als Begründer der heutigen Memorial Parks. Eaton war überzeugt von einem glücklichen Leben nach dem Tod. Er hielt die meisten Friedhöfe für unschöne und depressive Steingärten und wollte eine Ruhestätte gründen, die seine optimistischen Gedanken an den Tod widerspiegelten.
