Das Bistum Springfield in Illinois ist eine in den Vereinigten Staaten gelegene römisch-katholische Diözese mit Sitz in Springfield, Illinois.
Das Bistum Springfield in Illinois wurde am 29. Juli 1853 durch Papst Pius IX. aus Gebietsabtretungen des Bistums Chicago als Bistum Quincy errichtet. Das Bistum Quincy wurde am 9. Januar 1857 in Bistum Alton umbenannt. Am 7. Januar 1887 gab das Bistum Alton Teile seines Territoriums zur Gründung des Bistums Belleville ab. Das Bistum Alton wurde am 26. Oktober 1923 in Bistum Springfield in Illinois umbenannt.
