Phoenix [ˈfiːnɪks] ist die Hauptstadt und größte Stadt des US-Bundesstaats Arizona. Die Stadt ist außerdem Sitz der Countyverwaltung des Maricopa Countys.
Phoenix liegt zentral in Arizona im Valley of the Sun der Sonora-Wüste. Das erweiterte Stadtgebiet hat vier Millionen Einwohner. Es umfasst Mesa, Scottsdale, Glendale, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Peoria und viele kleinere Orte wie Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park und Anthem sowie überwiegend von Rentnern bewohnte Gemeinden wie Sun City, Sun City West und Fountain Hills.
