Penobscot County ist ein County im Bundesstaat Maine der Vereinigten Staaten. Der Sitz der Countyverwaltung befindet sich in Bangor.
Das County wurde am 15. Februar 1816 aus Teilen des Hancock County gebildet. Benannt wurde es nach dem Penobscot River, dem längsten Fluss Maines, der das County durchfließt.
