Die Catawba bzw. Iswä oder Iswa sind ein Indianerstamm des Kulturareals des Südöstliches Waldlands entlang des Catawba River und Wateree Rivers an der Grenze zwischen North- und South Carolina im Südosten der Vereinigten Staaten.
Ihre Sprache bildet zusammen mit der Sprache der Woccon den "Catawba" bzw. "Östlichen Sioux-Zweig" der Sioux-Sprachfamilie.
Seit 1993 haben ihre Nachkommen die bundesstaatliche Anerkennung als Stamm wiedererlangt und bewohnen heute als Catawba Indian Nation eine rund 2,6 km² große Reservation bei Rock Hill im York County in South Carolina.
