Mill Valley ist eine Stadt in Marin County im US-Bundesstaat Kalifornien mit 13.903 Einwohnern . Das etwa 12,5 km² umfassende Stadtgebiet liegt rund 23 km nördlich von San Francisco an den südöstlichen Hängen des Berges Mount Tamalpais und grenzt an die Marschen der Richardson Bay.
Mill Valley geht auf ein 1834 von John Reed gebautes Sägewerk zurück, die „Old Mill“, die der Stadt ihren Namen gab. Die eigentliche Geschichte der Stadt begann im Jahr 1889, als der Bauingenieur Michael O’Shaughnessy einen Stadtplan entwickelte, der Mill Valley bis heute prägt.
