Der Nationalpark Pollino in Süditalien ist der größte italienische Nationalpark. Er wurde durch ein Dekret des Präsidenten Oscar Luigi Scalfaro vom 15. November 1993 eingerichtet. Im Jahr 2015 wurde die Region des Nationalparks mit dem Label UNESCO Global Geopark ausgezeichnet.
Der Pollino-Nationalpark bedeckt eine Fläche von 192.565 Hektar und ist damit der größte Naturpark Italiens. Gleichzeitig zählt er zu den größten Naturschutzgebieten in Europa. Er erstreckt sich über zwei italienische Regionen:
