The climb by bike to the Kitzbüheler Horn, starting in St.John in Tirol is a classic for cyclists. You climb to 1970m over a length of 10,2km. The heightdifference with the start is 1278m. The average (!) slope is 12,53% which makes ia a really hard climb. The maximum slope is 22,3%. You can do this climb form May till October. Every year in August the International Kitzbühler Horn Race takes place. The route runs along the 7.4 km long toll road to the Alpenhaus. Its maximal incline in the closing stages is 22.4%. The record time to the Alpenhaus is held by Beat Bräu who completed the race in a time of 29:11 minutes.
