The parish church of Wels-St. Francis is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Wels district of Vogelweide in the Laahen district of Upper Austria. It is dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi and belongs to the deanery of Wels in the Diocese of Linz. In 1997, a pastoral center was opened in the Wels district of Laahen. Due to a lack of space, the demand for a new church grew, which is why an architectural competition was initiated. The Wels architects Max Luger and Franz Maul won the competition. Finally, the new house of worship was opened in 2004.
