The Cossack cemetery in Peggetz is located in the Lienz district of Peggetz in Austria. It was established in 1945 following the Lienz Cossack tragedy. It contains approximately 300 Cossacks in 28 graves. The cemetery is under monument protection.
In this cemetery, Cossacks are buried who died in a field camp on the northern bank of the Drau near Lienz in East Tyrol in the spring of 1945, when the Cossack camp was evacuated by the British Army. There are about 300 Cossacks in 28 graves. They were military units and their entourage who had fled from northern Yugoslavia to Italy and then to Austria before the Tito partisans.
