The Anhalter Hut is a Category I shelter of the Oberer Neckar section of the German Alpine Club. The hut, built in 1912, is located northwest of Imst in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The hut is under monument protection. The Anhalter Hut is situated at an elevation of 2042 m above sea level on the Upper Plötzigalm, beneath the north faces of the Heiterwand in the Lechtal Alps. Nearby is the Kromsee, which today only carries water during the snowmelt, as it quickly seeps away due to geological shifts.
