The Rofan cable car is an aerial cable car in the Rofan Mountains near Maurach am Achensee, municipality of Eben am Achensee, district of Schwaz, Tyrol, Austria. The operator is the Rofan Cable Car AG. The cable car, which was opened on July 1, 1959, takes visitors to a small plateau below the summit of the Gschöllkopf. It is 2,230 meters long. The elevation difference is 851 meters, and the highest ground clearance is 104 meters. The maximum speed is 12 meters per second. The load capacity of a cabin is 4,800 kg. A maximum of 740 persons can be transported per hour. The diameter of the supporting cable is 55 millimeters, and the diameter of the towing cable is 28 millimeters.
