Does the 1,109-metre-high Möslalmkogel in Tirol even count as a mountain? Especially when it doesn’t have any groomed ski slopes in winter? Wörgl’s local mountain has never been a well-known ski mountain - “his” counterparts in neighbouring Wildschönau have more to offer in that respect. However, new sporting opportunities emerged after the forestry road was built in 1977, and it is now a popular destination for mountain bikers, paragliders and hang gliders. The mountain's most important feature, however, is its summer grazing pastures. Möslalm is a popular meeting place for many locals and day-trippers, who stop here to grab a bite of good and reasonable food to eat and enjoy a chat with fellow-walkers- either in one of the welcoming dining lounges, or on the terrace with views of Pendling, Pölven and the meandering Inn River at Kirchbichl.
The most frequently used forest trail to Möslalm begins at Gasthaus Berghäusl near Müllnertal power station next to the Wörgler Bach (river). The trail branches off to the left of the river in the direction of Wildschönau, and leads up to the Möslalm.
