Cycling tour Stilluptal

Starting from Mayrhofen, this moderately difficult tour takes you to the Grüne Wand Hütte (1,436 meters) in the Stilluptal. Several flat sections allow less conditioned mountain bikers to catch their breath along the way. Numerous waterfalls, springs, and streams provide impressive natural experiences and refreshing opportunities along the route. Rest stops along the way invite you to recharge.

From the starting point at the train station in Mayrhofen, follow the main road over the bridge and turn left before the Gasthof Brücke. Pass the toll station and follow the road through a short spring to the dam crest. From here, only shuttle bus traffic and mountain farmers are to be expected. After a longer flat section along the reservoir, you reach the confluence of the stream. After a short ascent, you pass another inn before conquering the final climb to the Grüne Wand Hütte. There is an option to continue further to the material cable car of the Kasseler Hütte at the valley end. The return journey is via the same route.
