Wilder Kaiser Cycle Path

Set against the craggy peaks of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains, this 38.2-kilometre-long cycle path leads along the Inn Valley from St. Johann in Tirol via the villages of Going, Ellmau, Scheffau and Söll to Wörgl. There are a few short climbs in the first half of the ride, but the second part is mostly downhill. Most of the riding is away from the main road, making it suitable for families, and there are several places en route where you can stop for a snack.
The Wilder Kaiser Cycle Path begins at the large deanery parish church in St. Johann in Tirol. The route initially climbs gently through small villages to Going. With the imposing Kaiser Mountains in view on the right, the route passes through picturesque landscapes. From Going the trail continues to Ellmau. You then cycle downhill towards Scheffau and on to the neighbouring village of Söll. With the Wilder Kaiser Mountains behind you, the Hohe Salve peak (1,829 metres) rises on your left. Via the hamlet of Pirchmoos, the cyclists reach Kirchbichl/Bruckhäusl. The valley now becomes noticeably wider and the final destination of Wörgl is soon reached.
