Bike Trail Tirol Stage 09: Kaiserhaus – Kufstein

Starting at the 500-year old Kaiserhaus you follow well-maintained forest trails and a few asphalt tracks for about 32 kilometers. This magnificent tour for nature explorers is of intermediate difficulty.
The route heads east past Kaiserklamm on cycling trail no. 326, slightly ascending. After about 7 km, there’s a larger intersection where you turn right. Follow the signposts (no. 327) to Thiersee. Having reached the main road in Thiersee (2.5 hours from Kaiserhaus), turn right and after 400 m turn left onto a paved trail (‘Lechen’). From there, follow the signposts to’Wacht’. After a snack break at Gasthaus Wachtl, ride down the dirt road to the wooden bridge across Thierseer Ache, and past the old train station across the national border. Keep riding on the main road to Kiefersfelden until you turn right at the signpost ‘Zum Schaupenwirt’ just before the town center. Now proceed through the residential area, turn right at the sports field and shortly afterwards turn left onto a narrow track and cross the bridge over Kieferbach. Having crossed the bridge, turn left and cross the main road after a few hundred meters. Continue in the same direction until you get to the motorway bridge across the Inn river. Pass under this bridge and you’ll reach the end of the route at the Inn ferry (45min from Thiersee).
