Things to consider

Depending on the conditions around the Guslarspitze, things can get more difficult or less difficult. Early in the season, snow fields can be an issue
Also, this hike is only for experienced hikers with a good conditions as it's a very lengthy one to do on one day. You can split up the route in two days with the first day towards the Hochjoch-Hospiz and hike the day after over the Guslarspitze and return to Vent.

Guide

From the center of Vent we don't take the asphalt road to Rofen but the more scenic route to the left of the canyon, the trail leads towards a hanging bridge to Rofen which we'll cross and then turn left along a big road through the Alm.The road will get smaller further on and a very nice scenic trail leads you along the Rofenache towards the first hut of the day: the Hochjoch-Hospiz. From here we'll enter the more raw side of the valley, behind the hut we take the ascending road "Deloretteweg" that leads towards the Brandenburger Haus. The first junction we'll ignore, that's the normal route that goes around the Guslarspitze), but at the next junction we leave the Deloretteweg to the right along a more sandy trail that leads us up the col just next to the summit of the Mittlere Guslarspitze (3128m), a big cross is on the summit so you can't miss it. Enjoy the view from the Mittlere Guslarspitze, but don't descend just yet, you can still make it to the Hintere Guslarspitze that's a tiny bit higher (3147m)! Along the rocky col you can find you're way to the unmarked summit with a very unworthy cross but with an even better view. Get a bit of rest before returning back to the col and get back on the marked trail that goes down to the other side of the Guslarspitze which is rather steep through block terrain. It's a very desolated area here wiyth an amazing view. The trail brings you to a glacier river, cross the bridge and join the normal route towards the Vernagthütte. Get some rest and have a drink here before the long descend back to Vent. An alternative is to take the high route to the Breslauer Hütte but that would be an extra day, so if you plan do do this in multiple days, that's a plus.
