Ride this route and you?ll really be ?upwardly mobile?! Winding its way through the foothills, the Adelaide-Crafers Bikeway follows the South Eastern Freeway to Devil?s Elbow, then Old Mt Barker Road to Eagle on The Hill and Crafers ? climbing all the way. From there quiet streets lead to the final climb up Summit Road to the Mt Lofty Summit - the highest point in the Mt Lofty Ranges ? and a well deserved sense of achievement. Of course there are other rewards too, like the sensational views and cakes at the summit caf?. And did I mention the 12.5km descent?
