David t Kindt (1699-1770) was a master carpenter-architect from Ghent. He worked on numerous buildings such as the Rococo building of the Stock Exchange, but he was already involved in the construction of St. Nicholas Church, the Hôtel d'Hane Steenhuyse, the city prison with the Mammelokker, the renovation of the House of Oombergen, Hôtel Snoeck in St. Jacobs Nieuwstraat, the expansion of the Bishop's Seminary, the Eeckhaut Barracks, and St. Macharius Court.
He worked closely with master mason Jean Baptiste Simoens.
