The Commercial Exchange building was once again restored by the Noordstarfonds. The centerpiece of the construction project is the olive green concert hall that accommodates 520 people. The hall measures 17 by 26 meters and is nearly 10 meters high. This hall dates back to 1906.
The Commercial Exchange has its own cultural programming but also offers its hall to third parties. It has a café named after its former function: the Exchange, where Arsène Goedertier regularly visited.
This nineteenth-century banquet hall has a glazed extension at the back, which opens up to the terraces along the waterfront. Later, a lower terrace with a landing stage will provide access to this banquet hall via the Ketelvaart.
The concert hall was equipped with an acoustic profile for classical chamber music, allowing the reverberation to be dampened.
