The Holy Saint Livinus, who is said to have lived in the 6th century, turned out to be a fictional figure invented in the 8th century after investigation. The body of Livinus was preserved in Saint Bavo's Abbey in Ghent. However, since he did not actually exist, it was not the body of Saint Livinus. The motive of the abbey was likely to make a profit, as the veneration of a famous saint brought in a lot of money.
