Sint-Bavokerk in Gontrode is neogothic in style. It was built in 1855 and has an interesting interior with, among other things, wood carvings in neogothic style by the Blanchard brothers and 17th-century paintings by Roose. There is also a protected organ and beautiful silverware here.
