The Sint-Bavo Church is a church building in Gontrode, a district of the Belgian municipality of Melle. The church is dedicated to Bavo of Ghent, the patron saint of the parish since the 10th century.
It is a Neo-Gothic church, built in 1854-1855 on a hill, after the demolition in 1854 of the old Sint-Bavo Church that was located behind the current church. This single-nave cross church is oriented to the east, designed by priest-architect Jan August Clarysse. Initially, the new church was dedicated to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, later back to the original patron saint of the parish.
