And did you know that this clock contains, among other things, the slowest moving mechanical hand in the world/ It has one revolution every 25,800 years as an indication of the precession of the earth. The prescession can simply be imagined as the movement like that of a spindle. The earth's axis also follows a movement, but very slowly.
