Green recreation park for families with young children, located near Leuven. The domain is free to access all year round. Attractions and splash park are open from April 1 to September 30 depending on the school calendar.

Children can enjoy themselves in the playgrounds, electric robots, mini cars, and the newly renovated heated outdoor splash park. In the traffic park, they can ride bicycles and go-karts, and they can row and pedal boats on the 5-hectare pond. And of course, there is also the climbing forest: along a course of ropes and large tree houses, children can climb 'among the branches of the trees'. Sports enthusiasts can play tennis, soccer, volleyball, and basketball. The domain also has a roller skating rink and two skating ramps.

But Kessel-Lo is more than just having fun. You can also learn something there.

For example, in the bee house, visitors can watch the activities of bees through glass, and a small exhibition covers everything about honey and beeswax. A few times a year, the beekeeper extracts honey in the presence of the public. At regular intervals, visitors can also pour or roll candles made of real beeswax. You can request guided tours from the beekeeper.

At the ecocenter, you can learn everything about 'water'. Here, various themes are covered, such as water pollution, water purification, water extraction, water flora and fauna, and rational water use.

For those who simply want to walk and enjoy nature and flower beds, there is also something for them. A walking path leads to the former Vlierbeek Abbey.

Regularly, there is a walk with a nature guide. Voted the most beautiful running spot in Flanders in 2013. Since 2014, there is again a mini-golf with 18 holes.
