The Church of Reuland, the picturesque St. Stephen's Church from 1772, is crowned with a bulbous bell tower. Inside, you discover a tomb of black schist with reclining figures of the last lords Von Pallant, who once inhabited the Reuland fortress. Only an impressive ruin remains of that fortress. The original fortification is believed to date back to 963, but in 1794, the then fortress was set on fire by the French revolutionaries. In 1830, the ruin was sold with the intention of demolishing it. Fortunately, this did not happen, and the restored complex measures 65 by 55 m. On its south side rises the Bergfried, a tall, imposing tower, likely originating from the 14th century. On the northwestern part, a second tower with rounded corners rises.
