The St. Eligius Church is the parish church of the place Vosselare, which belongs to the East Flanders municipality of Deinze, located at Vosselaredorp 47A.
In 1087, a church building was already mentioned, which was probably made of wood. For certain, in the 14th century, there was a stone church. From the 14th-15th century, a late Gothic three-nave cross church was built with an octagonal crossing tower.
