The Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Hemelvaartkerk is the parish church of Houtem, which is part of the West Flanders municipality of Veurne, located at Kerkhoek.
The current church is a brick Gothic hall church with a pseudo-transept, built in the 15th and 16th centuries and at the beginning of the 17th century, evidenced by years such as 1552, 1560, and 1625. In addition, there are still natural stone remnants of the Romanesque predecessor incorporated into the building.
