Named after the refuge of the Cistercians of Villers la Ville, in the neighborhood of Nivelles. The house stood at the corner of the Eikstraat (Oak Street), but was replaced by the Lyceum's library. This street was known as Cattestraete (Cats Street), because of its stray cats but was renamed in 1851 because a Cats Street already existed near the Place Rouppe. That one disappeared some decades later. Part of the first surrounding wall of Brussels (13th century) can be seen at the end of this street.
