Located in the middle of the village in Houtave, on the corner of the Dorpsstraat, now Kerkhofstraat and the Zakstraat, we find café 'Drie Koningen'. The inn was certainly open in the middle of the 17th century and was also a farm with the current 'Travalie' and 'Muziekantje'. During and after the French Revolution, the inn initially also served as a town hall, although it must be said that Houtave canton was the capital of the département of the Lys, which also included Blankenberge. The inn was the setting for the film adaptation of the VTM series 'De Kavijaks'
