The Tillegembos (114 ha) borders the Bruges agglomeration and is the oldest provincial domain of West Flanders. In 1963, the first 44 ha were purchased, and the domain has been regularly expanded since then. The layout of the domain is mainly aimed at passive recreation... While walking, you can discover great diversity. Coniferous and deciduous forests alternate with each other. In the valley of the Kerkebeek, you will find alder marshes with beautiful spring flora. In certain areas of the domain, nature development is taking place: dry heaths, wet heaths, and flower-rich hay meadows. Tillegem also has something to offer culturally and historically: a beautiful castle with a formal garden, a neo-Gothic estate farmhouse with a horse mill.
