Provincial Domain 'Het Leen'

Het Leen is one of the largest contiguous forest areas in our province. There are about 36 km of walking paths and three fishing ponds. Around 1000 different species of plants and 1300 different species of animals can be found. The permanent exhibition of the Forest Information Center provides you with information about this diverse fauna and flora. You can also book educational activities or borrow materials there. There are brochures and a leaflet for the two marked hiking trails. In the auditorium, you can watch a video or a slideshow. The extensive library and database are completely free of charge. The Forest Class Center Hermeleen offers accommodation and guidance for an integrated work week in Het Leen. Groups of up to 30 people can stay there for an overnight visit, to learn and live with the forest as a theme. Recognized youth organizations can set up their tents in the Youth Camping Center. The arboretum houses nearly 6000 different species and varieties of trees and shrubs over an area of about 6 hectares.
