The Butterfly Garden in the Zoute is the first in our country, it is a unique experience! You can view 350 specimens of 35 different species of tropical butterflies from various butterfly families such as Owl butterflies, Passionflower butterflies, Whites, Cobblers, Monarchs, etc. They come from different continents: Asia, Africa, Central and South America, where they are grown in nurseries especially for us. The "butterflies" are purchased as pupa. Every morning in the "puppet shows" many butterflies are born. The critters first catch their breath for a few hours. Then the doors of the cupboards are opened and the butterflies fly into the garden.
With a bit of luck, you might even get to sit on your head or shoulder.
