Description

The Bokrijk Provincial Domain is mainly known for its open-air museum, arboretum and open-air playground. The domain is 550 hectares in size and is located in the municipality of Genk.

The Open Air Museum makes history tangible and 'experienceable'. Old crafts can be seen at work.

Extensive recreational opportunities include cycling and nature walks. The nature reserve Het Wik (103 ha, managed by Natuurpunt) is part of the domain. The Bokrijk Domain is also host to the Green House, the provincial Nature Centre. Fishing ponds are also part of the Bokrijk provincial domain. Bokrijk's 'World Square' focuses on sustainable global trade.
