In the late 1960s, the local KWB, together with "the Friends of Lourdes," launched a campaign to revitalize the Marian devotion in Dudzele. Modern white stone Marian statues were offered for sale to hang above the front door opening. Today, two examples remain visible in our Dudzele street scene.
We then take the Dudzeelse Steenweg (crossing the road) and just before the neighborhood of Kruisabele (the sign says Sint-Jozef), we see the following statue on the left side at house number 614.
