The Ros Beiaard was created by the Belgian artist Olivier Strebelle for Expo 58, where it stood near the Bell Telephone pavilion. The sculpture dates back to 1953 and depicts the Ros Beiaard with the four heemskinderen on its back. After the Expo, it ended up in Namur on the banks of the Meuse.
