In 1911, there was talk of a parish church in Zoute. The diocese did not allow this, and the project was entrusted to the Dominican Fathers. It was built in 1925 by the Company "Het Zoute" on its grounds by architect Jos. Vierin. The rectory dates from 1927, and the monastery building was completed in 1929. Here in the gallery hangs a remarkable Stations of the Cross in woodcarving by sculptor Emile Raes. There are also special stained glass windows. The carillon comes from the former residence Plaza.
