The Coulter Route discovers one of the lesser-known, but no less beautiful parts of the Flemish Ardennes. This is a region of great historical value. The Hoeve ter Beeck was originally a walled Templar castle. The Hof ter Walem was owned by St Peter's Abbey in Ghent. The village centre of Moregem is protected as a monument. The route owes its name to the typical agricultural fields in the area.
