The municipality is situated, as the name suggests, on the river Lesse, which has eroded parts of the limestone massif near Han-sur-Lesse, creating caves. These caves, globally known as the Caves of Han, are the main attraction of Han. In addition, a wildlife park was opened in 1970 that brings together various animal species that once lived in the region (including wild boars and fallow deer, as well as wolves and lynxes). Furthermore, there is the PrehistoHan, in this museum visitors can see how the caves were formed and how they are studied. This museum houses a collection of archaeological finds ranging from the Neolithic period to the present day.
